Tea and Taiwan’s Four seasons
Spring, summer, autumn, and winter affect tea trees’ growth and harvest. Harvesting the right kind of tea in each season results in the best quality tea. Taiwan’s tea harvest time is based on “Twenty-Four Solar Terms.”
Spring Tea: The harvest time is between {Pure Brightness} and {Grain Rain}. (4/05~4/20) : The temperature is very comfortable for Tea trees in this spring’s time. There is a lot of rain at this time, also tea has high production and best quality.
Summer Tea: The first harvest time is after the {Beginning of Summer}(5/21~6/6).: This is the best harvest season for Oriental Beauty Tea. The second harvest time is between {Minor Heat} and {Major Heat} (7/7~7/23): This is the best harvest season for black tea that has the best quality and taste.
Autumn Tea:
There are two harvest times in Autumn. The first harvest time is at the beginning of Autumn} (8/8). The second harvest time is at {White Dew} (9/23).
Winter Tea:
The harvest time is at {Befinbung of Winter}(11/7). It is the best time to make oolong tea.
Tawian Oolong tea has the best qualities and high production in Spring. In winter, tea leaves are thick and it has a lot of nutrients; thus tea has a rich taste with an aftertaste. Also, winter tea’s quality is good too. If you want to shop for goods and the best oolong tea, you can shop for oolong tea that is harvested in spring and winter.

春、夏、秋、冬四季影響茶樹的生長和採收。每一個季節的採收時期不同。台灣茶葉的採收季節大都以24節氣為主。
春茶:清明-穀雨之間採收(4/05~4/20):生長季節溫度適中,雨水多。產量高,品質好。
夏茶:第一次大約在「立夏」之後採收(5/21~6/6):這時後爲東方美人茶的最佳採收季節。 第二次夏茶採收在「小暑」和「大暑」之間 (7/7~7/23):這時紅茶爲最佳採茶時期,品質和口感最好。
秋茶:可以採收兩次。第一次爲「立秋」(8/8)。第二次採收為「白露」(9/23)。
冬茶:採收時期爲「立冬」(11/7)。適合製作烏龍茶。
台灣烏龍茶以春季的品質產量居冠。冬季因為茶葉豐厚儲存了養份,所以茶的口感濃郁且帶以甘甜餘味,品質也不錯。如果想挑選好喝的烏龍茶就選擇春茶和冬茶。
